Your Mission

Welcome to your new role at Sungrow as our Standards Expert in the EMEA region.

Here are your key responsibilities:

  • You will oversee Sungrow Power's involvement in standards related to PV inverters, PV systems, energy storage converters, and energy storage systems, acting as the representative for Sungrow Power in these areas.
  • You will engage in international and European standards processes, which includes attending technical committee meetings, drafting and reviewing standards, and reporting on the outcomes of these meetings.
  • You will manage research and compliance issues related to standards, focusing on safety, grid interconnection, system design, and installation, while collaborating with our headquarters.
  • You will coordinate with EU technical committees and authorities, ensuring the management and consolidation of standards support for European PV and energy storage project proposals.
  • You will contribute to product development through standard research activities, generating innovative ideas that align with trends in PV and energy storage systems, and developing strategic recommendations.
  • You will serve as a technical authority for the local office team, proactively pursuing technical excellence and linking product-related patents to standards development.
Your Profile

What qualifications will you need to succeed?

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, or a related discipline; a master's or PhD is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in electrical standardization activities; membership in a technical committee is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of PV or energy storage technologies, particularly regarding converter-based grid interconnection systems.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

  • Proficiency in German or Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus.
  • Strong technical judgment and an understanding of emerging trends in the industry.
