Engineer for Virtual Commissioning Solutions

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to engage in the development of both physical and virtual PLC controls aimed at software testing. This role involves connecting virtual machine models with PLCs, robotic systems, and potentially supervisory control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently carry out the foundational and functional commissioning of software tailored for machining and assembly lines. Collaborate with software experts to analyze and rectify errors and faults.
  • Make necessary adjustments in the simulation environment and validate the virtual model in conjunction with specialists.
  • Act as a liaison to software design, ensuring close collaboration to uphold software quality for subsequent processes and to minimize commissioning durations at the actual facility.
  • Play an active role in the preparation, execution, documentation, and standardization of virtual commissioning within the organization, while supporting the PLC and robot programming teams.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives for virtual commissioning and model development.

Qualifications:

  • Completed education in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering, with potential further training as a technician or master.
  • Several years of experience in robotics or PLC programming and commissioning within plant construction.
  • Proficient knowledge in programming and commissioning PLC controls (Beckhoff, Siemens).
  • Experience with commissioning bus systems, drive technology, and industrial robots is a plus.
  • A collaborative team player with a focus on results, strong communication skills, and intercultural competence.

  • Effective communication skills in both German and English for interaction with colleagues across various locations.
