The Vertigo/Capitol label is dedicated to discovering and nurturing promising national and international artists while also supporting the growth of established acts. This is where trends are set, newcomers are developed, and successful artists are empowered in their creative journeys.
As our new Director of Artist Development (all genders) for the Vertigo/Capitol label, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of music. This position is available for a permanent full-time engagement.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage our A&R team, including the recruitment and development of new and existing team members.
- Collaborate with the Vice Presidents of Vertigo/Capitol to define the strategic musical direction of the label.
- Negotiate contracts with artists and partners.
- Provide creative and strategic guidance to artists and their careers, setting artistic goals while considering economic objectives.
- Expand the product repertoire and scout for new talents across various scenes and communication channels.
- Oversee the budget for A&R activities within the label.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in A&R and marketing.
- Demonstrated leadership experience or relevant competencies in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of the music scene with a robust network of producers, artists, and service providers both domestically and internationally.
- Strong repertoire knowledge within the music industry.
- Proficient in both German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
