Research Software Engineer REMIND

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement concepts and tools for software development in model environments.
  • Couple models and develop solutions for integrating them.
  • Expand R-based open-source tools to handle dynamic input data sources, model runs, and output analysis.
  • Support researchers in running models on HPC environments.
  • Enhance transparency, reproducibility, and reusability of model workflows.
  • Improve accessibility and visibility of research work through documentation, tutorials, and presentations.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Informatics, Computational Sciences, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proficient in programming, preferably in R or Python, with GAMS experience an asset.
  • Fluency in version control management, such as Git and GitHub.
  • Experience with HPC environments an asset.
  • Familiarity with scientific modeling and model coupling an asset.
