Research Software Engineer REMIND

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement software solutions for model environments.
  • Couple models and software to enhance transparency and reproducibility.
  • Expand R-based open-source tools to handle dynamic input data sources and generate model output.
  • Support researchers running models on high-performance computing environments.
  • Improve accessibility and visibility of model workflows through documentation and tutorials.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Informatics, Computational Sciences, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proficient in programming languages R or Python, with experience in GAMS an asset.
  • Fluency in version control management, such as Git and GitHub.
  • Experience with high-performance computing environments an asset.
  • Familiarity with scientific modeling and model coupling an asset.
