Internship in Purchased Parts Management

Position Overview:

This internship focuses on the Supply Chain Management sector, specifically within the Purchased Parts Planning department at Mercedes-Benz.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the disposition of purchased components while gaining insights into essential procurement workflows.
  • Facilitate follow-up deliveries in collaboration with various departments, including purchasing, quality management, and production.
  • Identify and visually represent bottleneck scenarios, proposing potential optimization strategies.
  • Conduct analysis on inventory-driving components and initiate actions to minimize stock levels.
  • Engage with fellow interns across the Supply Chain Center and other departments.
  • Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in logistics, economics, or business administration.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Skilled in utilizing modern communication and presentation technologies.
  • Strong negotiation abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capability to make informed decisions and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Organizational proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
  • Creative problem-solving skills are advantageous.

Additional Information:

It is essential that this internship includes a mandatory component. Candidates from outside the European Economic Area should include their residence/work permit with their application.
