Job Title: Researcher in Foundation Models with a focus on Multimodal Agent Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Researcher in Foundation Models with a focus on Multimodal Agent Systems to join our team at Fraunhofer IAIS. As a Researcher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative methods to improve multimodal agent/multiagent systems with regard to the automated control of web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement innovative methods to improve multimodal agent/multiagent systems
  • Implement and integrate your methods into our technology stack
  • Train foundation models based on your developed methods on high-performance computers comprising several thousand GPUs
  • Publish your research results at high-ranking international conferences and in journals and represent your research topic in the public eye
  • Evaluate the market potential of your AI research together with our application teams
Requirements:
  • Completed scientific university degree (Master's, Diploma) in computer science, mathematics, physics or a similar field with an excellent degree, preferably with a doctorate
  • Previous knowledge in the fields of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence, in particular a deep understanding of machine learning
  • Very good programming skills, especially in Python and PyTorch
  • Excellent analytical skills, enjoy abstract thinking and conceptual work
  • High level of commitment and willingness to learn and familiarize yourself quickly with new issues
  • Structured work and professional demeanor
  • Very good knowledge of German language skills (at least level C1)
