Key Responsibilities
In the role of Treasury Accountant, you will oversee all financial accounting functions within the ABOUT YOU Group. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will drive process enhancements. Additionally, you will have opportunities to engage in various Treasury functions and pursue your professional growth.
- Managing the processing of bank statements
- Ensuring that account reconciliations and outstanding items are accurately balanced while investigating and resolving any discrepancies
- Administering guarantees and intercompany loans, as well as loans to affiliated entities
- Preparing weekly payment runs
- Supervising the monthly closing process
- Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS by supplying necessary documentation and explanations
- Guaranteeing the proper accounting treatment of completed foreign exchange hedges
- Responsible for submitting AWV reports to the Deutsche Bundesbank
- Playing a pivotal role in the implementation of a new ERP system
- Maintaining constant communication with internal departments such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization and ensuring quality assurance across all accounting operations
- Acting as a point of contact for stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Completed training as a Certified Accountant or an equivalent degree
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a preference for Treasury-related roles
- Proficient in financial software, including SAP 4 Hana and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft tools such as Excel and Power BI
- Experience in ERP system implementation
- Effective communication skills, with fluency in English (essential) and German (preferred)
