This position is designed for individuals seeking to begin their career in the vinyl record manufacturing industry. No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided. However, candidates should embody specific qualities that align with our organizational culture and values.

As a Junior Pressing Machine Operator, your primary responsibilities will include the operation and oversight of vinyl record pressing machinery to facilitate the production of premium-quality records. This role demands a keen eye for detail, mechanical skills, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic work environment. You will be instrumental in upholding production standards, achieving quality benchmarks, and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

This full-time role requires a flexible schedule Monday through Saturday, with potential for overtime hours.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operation of Machinery: Efficiently operate vinyl record pressing machines following established protocols and safety measures. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal production efficiency.

2. Quality Assurance: Perform visual and auditory inspections of pressed records to confirm adherence to quality standards. Identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies in the final product, such as surface flaws or audio issues.

3. Handling Materials: Load vinyl materials, labels, and packaging into the pressing machines, ensuring correct alignment and distribution. Keep track of material inventory and replenish supplies as necessary to avoid production delays.

4. Documentation: Maintain precise production logs, including machine settings, operational times, and any challenges faced during the pressing process. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads regarding production status and any arising concerns.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning: Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of pressing machines to ensure optimal functionality. Address any jams or blockages swiftly to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

6. Compliance with Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Promptly report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred (vinyl experience is advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Basic understanding of machinery operation and mechanical principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and a dedication to producing high-quality results.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
