About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Labor Assistant (m/w/d) Virology to join our team at Charles River Laboratories, Inc. in Erkrath. As a Labor Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring the smooth execution of experiments and tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and disposal of consumables
  • Clean and maintain microbiological safety workbenches, CO2 incubators, refrigerators, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment
  • Inspect and verify safety equipment
  • Prepare and manufacture buffers and materials
  • Place and monitor orders, and control inventory
  • Properly inactivate and dispose of laboratory waste
  • Support the maintenance and upkeep of our quality control system (GMP)
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software
  • Fluency in German and English
