About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Labor Assistant to join our team at Charles River Laboratories, Inc. in Erkrath. As a Labor Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring the smooth execution of our research and development activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and disposal of consumables
  • Clean and maintain microbiological safety workbenches, CO2 incubators, refrigerators, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment
  • Inspect and maintain safety equipment
  • Prepare and manufacture buffers and materials
  • Manage inventory and orders
  • Properly inactivate and dispose of laboratory waste
  • Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of our quality control systems (GMP)
Requirements
  • First-hand experience in a laboratory setting or a related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software
  • Fluency in English and German
