About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Labor Assistant to join our team at Charles River Laboratories, Inc. in Erkrath. As a Labor Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring the smooth execution of experiments and tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and disposal of consumables
  • Clean and maintain microbiological safety workbenches, CO2 incubators, freezers, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment
  • Verify safety equipment and ensure proper functioning
  • Prepare and manufacture buffers and materials
  • Manage inventory and perform quality control checks
  • Dispose of laboratory waste in accordance with regulations
  • Support the maintenance and upkeep of our quality management system (GMP)
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting or related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with laboratory software
  • Fluency in German and English
