About the Role
ZEISS is seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner to take ownership of a new order entry system component. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for translating user and business requirements into technical requirements to develop a global solution that delivers a great user experience for our opticians in each market.
Key Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership for the new order entry system component
- Explore, analyze, and translate user and business requirements into technical requirements
- Define system flows (frontend and backend) based on user flows
- Derive and define technical requirements in epics, features, and user stories
- Prioritize the product and sprint backlog with the Business Product Owner
- Closely collaborate with the business product owner, designers, software developers, and stakeholders from different country sales organizations
- Ensure the flow-of-work across the development team, including software and test engineers
- Lead, plan, and manage software product development activities
- Ensure and contribute to a high quality of the software by defining an adequate testing strategy and framework and by conducting own manual tests
- Manage upgrades, deployments, and software releases and ensure their operation
- Provide technical inputs to Marketing and Training Materials
- Support the overall company data analysis initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- 5 years or more of work experience within the area of software specification, development, architecture, and operations
- Technical interest and excitement for cloud solutions, web services, and e-commerce
- Ability to design data models, system architectures, and system logics and flows
- Experience in cloud (Azure) and microservice architectures, identity and access management, IT security standards, MACH principles, container technology, data storages, and tracking
- Great communication skills, especially the ability to translate complex and technical topics into the language of key stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience in software development and release management, agile working methods, and collaboration tools (Azure DevOps)
- Customer-centric mindset combined with technical skills (background as developer is beneficial)
- Strong self-motivation for creating impact, delivering results, and personal growth
- Fluent language skills in English; German is desirable
- Open to business trips if required and appropriate
