Your Role

The ZEISS Group is seeking a skilled Product Owner to join our Omnichannel Sales team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for the B2B2C marketplace, a key part of our channel strategy. Your primary goal will be to enable online sales of complete spectacles to our customers (ECPs) and deliver a best-in-class shop experience to consumers.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will be a key stakeholder in the Omnichannel Sales design and strategy process, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand market demands and consumer desires.
  • You will derive, structure, and prioritize features and user stories, managing the backlog to ensure timely delivery of the committed scope.
  • You will interact with UI/UX specialists to deliver designed features that meet the expectation of an outstanding user experience.
  • You will coordinate the implementation of new features for an international marketplace, guiding and instructing the Development Team and managing technical dependencies.
  • You will apply hybrid software development principles to ensure all software releases are bug-free and meet the high expectations of our customers and internal processes.
  • You will work closely with the Head of Marketplace to align feature priorities, long-term product strategy, and technological roadmap.
  • You will ensure timely rollouts of marketplace features and enable evidence-based decision making by supporting data & analytics activities for tracking of consumer and customer behavior.

Your Profile

  • You hold a university degree in medical, computer science, engineering, business informatics, business information systems engineering, or a relevant adjacent subject.
  • You have 4+ years of work experience in software product development with agile software development of complex products, with a proven track record of successfully launched and operated agile projects.
  • You have knowledge of agile frameworks (SCRUM, SAFe) and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • You possess a strong result orientation, self-driven and autonomous working style, entrepreneurial spirit, and data-driven mentality.
  • You are passionate about consumer-facing, eCommerce-driven digital products that drive conversion, user behavior, and user-centered methodologies.
  • You have the capability of managing and steering projects via cross-functional intercultural teams.
  • You are open in communication, reliable, self-organized, and able to manage several workstreams in parallel.
  • You are willing to take over responsibility and make decisions.
  • You have fluency in English both written and oral, and German is desirable.
  • You are willing to travel internationally and work with different time zones.
