Software Development Team Lead

Serco is a leading Space Services Provider with a strong presence in the European market. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Team Lead to join our team in one of our European offices.
About the RoleThe Software Development Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of software developers in the development of software projects. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to motivate and support team members.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of software developers in the development of software projects.
- Manage the software development process, including setting goals, creating timelines, and monitoring progress.
- Collaborate with other team leads, product owners/stakeholders, and project managers to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, review code, and ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Provide technical expertise and help drive innovation within the team.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve the team's processes and performance.
- Several years of experience in software development, with a focus on leading teams and projects.
- Experience in Web Application Development with JEE and Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, JSP, Servlet.
- Experience with web development Framework such as Spring, Hibernate, Struts and Lucene.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as JQuery and Angular.
- Experience with Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with Git, SVN or other version control system.
- Strong analytical and object-orientated design capabilities
- Effective English written and oral communication skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support team members.
