Senior Propulsion Test Engineer

Lilium is a pioneering company that's changing the world by developing an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) jet. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to lead the development and execution of test plans, procedures, and reports for the Propulsion Testing team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and reports for the Propulsion Testing team
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure an effective testing approach for our product
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful certification of our aircraft
- Develop complex test rigs and setups and coordinate with support teams
- Evaluate test concepts and create and review engineering documentation
- Advise the design team on test requirements and plans for certification
- Support resource and workload planning and coordination with interfacing teams
- Be a role model for a safe work environment in the lab
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field (M.Sc/M.Eng preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in aerospace development programs
- Good knowledge and experience in aerospace certification programs and regulations
- Good knowledge and experience in processes, methods, and best practices of engine testing within the aerospace industry
- Good knowledge and experience with measurement methods for aircraft engine testing
- Good knowledge and experience of aircraft level system integration
- Good knowledge of a CAD system (Siemens NX preferred)
- Driven individual with the ability to probe and challenge assumptions
- Ability to work with incomplete requirements and to anticipate customer needs
- High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a diverse team
- Target-oriented work style with analytic problem-solving skills
- Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
- Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language is beneficial
