Senior Propulsion Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Propulsion Test Engineer to join our team at Lilium. As a key member of our Laboratory Testing department, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of complex test campaigns for our propulsion system.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute test plans, including assessment of test requests, refinement with the design team, and preparation of test concepts.
- Design and build test setups, including coordination of manufacturing and purchasing.
- Plan and execute tests, including test procedure and risk assessments.
- Post-process data and report results.
- Develop and maintain test rigs and setups, including coordination with support teams.
- Evaluate test concepts and create engineering documentation.
- Advise the design team on test requirements and plans for certification.
- Support resource and workload planning and coordination with interfacing teams.
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in aerospace development programs.
- Good knowledge and experience in aerospace certification programs and regulations.
- Good knowledge and experience in processes, methods, and best practices of engine testing within the aerospace industry.
- Good knowledge and experience with multi-kW electrical machines and drives.
- Good knowledge and experience of aircraft level system integration.
