About the Role
As the Student Engagement Coordinator, you will be instrumental in cultivating a lively, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere on campus.

Your primary objective will be to design a variety of extracurricular events and initiatives that resonate with our diverse student body, ensuring they feel connected and supported throughout their journey.

You will have the chance to spearhead the development and implementation of our Community Engagement Strategy, promoting collaboration and shared experiences among various student groups and disciplines.

This pivotal position combines creativity, organization, and leadership to enhance the overall student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Community Initiatives:

    Collaborate with academic leaders to formulate and execute a comprehensive Community Engagement Strategy that fosters unity and collaboration among student groups.

  • Plan & Execute Events:

    Curate, promote, and deliver a varied calendar of events that enrich the student experience, focusing on academic, professional, and wellness themes.

  • Collaborate Across Departments:

    Partner with various teams to support workshops, guest lectures, and other enriching activities.

  • Event Management:

    Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, promotion, risk assessment, and day-of coordination.

  • Support Student Organizations:

    Assist student organizations in creating diverse opportunities and communities that cater to various interests.

  • Promote Diversity & Inclusion:

    Ensure that all events and activities celebrate diversity and foster an inclusive campus environment.

  • Liaise with Marketing:

    Work with the marketing team to capture and promote campus events through various channels.

  • Manage Budgets:

    Deliver events and activities within the allocated budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

  • Evaluate & Improve:

    Collect and analyze data on event engagement and feedback to continually enhance the student experience.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in event management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Strong verbal communication abilities, including public speaking.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Creative aptitude for producing engaging promotional materials.
  • Solid administrative and computer literacy skills.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
