Job Title: International Student Mobility Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an International Student Mobility Coordinator at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and evaluating the international mobility program at our university, with a focus on developing program lines for the mobility of teacher education students in collaboration with new and existing partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and evaluate the international mobility program at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, with a focus on developing program lines for the mobility of teacher education students in collaboration with new and existing partners.
  • Represent Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin at study fairs at German overseas schools, provide information about studying at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin to students, and negotiate placements for Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin students at German overseas schools and partner schools of university cooperation partners.
  • Develop and update quality guidelines for the semester abroad and evaluate the corresponding programs.
  • Provide subject-specific advice to teacher education students on study abroad programs.
  • Publicize the programs, including preparing and conducting information events and workshops on the semester abroad and career-oriented internships abroad.

Requirements:

  • Completed academic degree in a humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in the field of science management.
  • Knowledge of the overseas school system and international school systems.
  • Knowledge of the international university landscape.
  • Knowledge of study structures and general questions about studying.
  • Knowledge of the study and examination regulations of teacher education programs, in particular the Master of Education (semester abroad), the Berlin teacher training program, and corresponding regulations.
  • Knowledge of common funding programs for study abroad programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of evaluation.
  • Very good English language skills in writing and speaking (Spanish language skills are welcome).
  • Excellent negotiation skills, high communication and moderation skills.
  • Common IT knowledge.
