Position Overview
The SAP Solution Manager Expert plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing the SAP Solution Manager environment. This position is responsible for optimizing the use of SAP Solution Manager to improve operational efficiency, manage IT services, and support project and application lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Solution Manager Management: Supervise the configuration, customization, and daily operations of the SAP Solution Manager environment, including Focused Build, Change Request Management (ChaRM), Solution Documentation, Test Suite, and IT Service Management.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide both functional and technical support, addressing issues within the SAP Solution Manager environment, ensuring its stability, security, and performance. Conduct regular system health checks, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Training and Guidance: Deliver training and guidance to team members on SAP Solution Manager functionalities and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements to SAP processes and systems, keeping abreast of the latest technologies and advancements in SAP Solution Manager.
- Governance: Oversee the governance of SolMan ChaRM by collaborating with stakeholders, including connected systems, AMS teams, rollout managers, developers, testers, and key users.
- Technical Change Management: Communicate and collaborate on change management objectives, expectations, and outcomes, supporting the AMS Service manager in Release Management.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in IT/technology roles, with at least 3 years of proven experience working with SAP Solution Manager.
- SAP Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP Solution Manager functionalities and best practices, including ChaRM, ITSM, and Test Suite. Experience in SAP Basis is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively manage complex systems and challenges.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and for providing training and support.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Experience: Living experience in Europe and working experience in a European-based company.
