Financial Fund Management Associate

The Financial Management team within the Fund Management division plays a crucial role in delivering support across various mandates that encompass all aspects of financial consolidation. This team serves as the primary liaison for all financial matters, maintaining close interactions with Asset Managers, Transaction Managers, Portfolio Management, and Tax departments.
Key Responsibilities
Your main duties will include:
- Assisting in the implementation of the financial control framework, which includes overseeing monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
- Ensuring that financial bookings are compliant with relevant accounting standards (KAGB, HGB, and IFRS).
- Understanding the business's impact on financial statements and engaging regularly with various sectors of Fund Management, including Group Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Tax, VAT, and Operations.
- Providing financial oversight and governance for finance-related activities across group entities and managing external auditors.
- Overseeing Group consolidations in accordance with German and Luxembourg legal requirements (IFRS/KAGB).
- Reviewing financial statements under different legislative frameworks and supporting them with comprehensive analytical reviews for group entities.
- Reviewing German regulatory reporting and collaborating closely with fund and legal-entity accountants to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Coordinating with external service providers, such as accounting and tax professionals, to facilitate monthly and quarterly reporting.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A completed degree in business studies with a focus on accounting or real estate accounting, or equivalent training as an Assistant Tax Accountant, complemented by professional experience in private equity or real estate.
- Plans to pursue or completion of a professional qualification as Bilanzbuchhalter (national/international) or CFA Level 1/2.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in financial accounting, consolidation, or external audit.
- Familiarity with IFRS, HGB, and/or KAGB legislation and consolidations.
- Knowledge of SAP Sem-BCS and/or SAP FI/CO or equivalent systems.
- Experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders across various global locations.
- Fluency in both German and English.
