Cloud Infrastructure Internship for Satellite Control Center

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled intern to join our Ground Segment Studies, Systems Engineering & IVV team at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH.
About the Role:As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure components and services for a Ground Segment. You will work closely with our team to realize and configure the infrastructure into an Airbus-managed private cloud.
Key Responsibilities:- Definition of cloud infrastructure components and services for a Ground Segment.
- Realization and configuration of the infrastructure into an Airbus-managed private cloud.
- Definition and deployment in the cloud of a Satellite Control Center based on the new European mission control software EGS-CC, for single and multi-satellite missions.
- Implement and evaluate telemetry/telecommand interactions with a simulated satellite.
- Enrolled full-time student in the area of Computer Science, Telecommunication, or an equivalent field of study.
- Good programming skills (e.g. Java, Python).
- Good knowledge of Linux environment.
- Knowledge of virtualisation and cloud technology is an advantage.
- Knowledge of telemetry/telecommand standards is an advantage.
- Team-player.
- Good communication skills.
- Self-organising.
- English: advanced.
- German: basic (any higher level is an advantage).
