Your Role and Responsibilities
As the ETCS Onboard Unit System Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in international tender projects, focusing on the integration of onboard ETCS train protection systems into various rail vehicles, including locomotives and maintenance units. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the technical elements of onboard train protection systems (ETCS, ATO, NTC) throughout the tendering phase.
- Evaluating customer specifications and assessing their feasibility against technical and operational limitations.
- Defining system architecture and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing a compliant system solution that addresses essential technical, safety, security, and regulatory considerations.
- Articulating your technical solution in discussions with clients and addressing any additional inquiries.
- Preparing detailed technical plans and quotations, while documenting technical claims and risk assessments.
- Sharing insights and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance team knowledge.
Qualifications We Seek
- A university degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
- Significant experience in rail vehicle technology, particularly in system engineering or management related to onboard train control systems.
- Familiarity with applicable standards and regulations, such as CENELEC and TSI CCS.
- Experience collaborating within international teams.
- Proficiency in English and German.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes (up to 20%).
