Project Overview:

As an Embedded Software Engineer at K-tronik GmbH, you will engage in the development of software solutions tailored for aerospace applications. Your primary focus will be on creating low-level software, including firmware, drivers, and Board Support Packages (BSPs) for avionics and propulsion control systems. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop safety-critical real-time software for aviation systems.
  • Define both high-level and low-level software specifications.
  • Architect and implement new software components.
  • Assist in integration, testing, and verification processes.
  • Document software development and prepare comprehensive Statements of Work.
  • Enhance and refine existing software solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing low-level software (firmware, drivers, BSPs).
  • Proficient in embedded C and/or C++ programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with software development in accordance with DO-178 or similar aviation standards.
  • Familiarity with generating software requirements (SRS, SDDD) using DOORS or equivalent tools.
  • Proficient in version control systems such as SVN, Git, or similar.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of German is a significant advantage.
