Join Our Team as a Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at OSB AG. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing safety-critical embedded real-time software for aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of safety-critical embedded real-time software for aircraft systems according to RTCA/DO-178B, Level A to Level D.
  • Carry out autonomous working according to AES and project-specific processes.
  • Support the tailoring of development processes to project-specific needs.
  • Support the specification of software high-level requirements.
  • Develop software low-level requirements.
  • Be responsible for software coding in C and for software debugging.
  • Be responsible for software integration and analysis.
  • Support the design of internal and external interfaces.
  • Design/adapt existing solutions for new applications by using dedicated/standardized tools.
  • Support the definition of "Statement of Works" to be presented to potential suppliers.
  • Be responsible for the configuration of control/change management of all items produced using applicable CM tools (e.g. Synergy, Dimensions) according to applicable Configuration Management Plan.
Requirements:
  • Be a Graduate Software Engineer (or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired by other means).
  • Have several years of experience in software development.
  • Have good English capabilities, both spoken and written, at least B2 (CEFR).
  • Be experienced with the specification of high-level and low-level software requirements (SRS, SDDD).
  • Have experience with technical reviews.
  • Have programming experience in C and/or Assembler Code.
  • Have experience with the V-model development cycle (preferably of safety-critical software acc. to RTCA/DO-178).
  • Have experience within the usage of hardware in the loop test facilities.
  • Be experienced with the Python Test Script Language, In-Circuit-Debugger (Lauterbach), MISRA guidelines (C), DOORS, Configuration management in SVN, or IBM Rational Synergy/Change, or Serena Dimensions and the IBM - Rational Test Real-Time.
