To enhance our Embedded Real-Time Systems Development, Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a

Bachelor Thesis in the Validation of Physics Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) (d/f/m)

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on the fundamentals of PINNs and perform market analysis of PINN simulators.
  • Validate PINN simulators concerning their generic physical characteristics and regularities.
  • Develop an integration strategy for PINNs within an existing toolchain/framework.
  • Assess an appropriate application scenario, evaluating pros and cons in terms of accuracy, network size, training set size, and training effort.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student (d/f/m) in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Supervised Learning and Reinforcement Learning.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of physics is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English or German, both spoken and written.
  • Eagerness to learn new methods, tools, and skills.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to collaborate in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a self-directed approach to work.
