The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our global procurement organization. As Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for driving decisions and strategies, processes, analytics, digitalization efforts, training, and sustainability within the Heraeus Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of three professionals and be responsible for driving decisions and strategies, processes, analytics, digitalization efforts, training, and sustainability within the Heraeus Group's global procurement organization.
  • Identify the digitalization potential in existing procurement processes, especially regarding use cases for artificial intelligence.
  • Establish a sustainability framework for the procurement organizations of the Heraeus Group.
  • Lead global procurement projects and ensure their successful implementation.
  • Implement and ensure the requirements of upcoming international regulations in close cooperation with the Procurement peers in our Operating Companies.
Requirements
  • University degree (diploma/master) in Business Administration or Engineering, or similar.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in purchasing, finance, consulting, or project management, ideally with leadership experience in an international context.
  • Cutting-edge knowledge and experiences in projects, processes, tools, and systems related to Procurement, Excellence, and Digitalization Projects.
  • International (working) background is highly welcomed.
  • High persuasiveness and negotiation skills combined with a winning and enthusiastic personality promoting collaborative work.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken, German is a plus but not required.
