Data Access System Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Access System Operations Engineer to join our team at Serco GmbH. As a key member of our Data Access Services Operations (DASO) service team, you will play a critical role in supporting the operations of our customer's mission-specific and multi-mission dissemination systems.
Key Responsibilities- Support to the User Community: Provide assistance to users on EUMETCast hardware and software installations/issues.
- Technical Documentation: Create and manage technical and interface documentation.
- Data and System Analysis: Conduct data and system analysis to ensure optimal performance.
- Operational Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on operational performance, including the development and maintenance of relevant tools.
- Configuration Development: Develop, test, and implement new configurations.
- Operational Procedures: Create and maintain operational procedures and documentation.
- Training and Development: Create and deliver training material to various audiences.
- Anomaly Investigations: Investigate and resolve anomalies.
- Maintenance and Support: Provide first-line maintenance and on-call support.
- Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinate with other service providers, external organizations, and partners.
- Meeting and Review Participation: Attend and participate in technical meetings and reviews.
- Scheduling and Planning: Contribute to DASO scheduling and planning.
- Validation and Operations: Participate in validation campaigns and support operations build-up and handover.
- Education: University degree or equivalent in an engineering or relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in software maintenance/development or the operation and maintenance of real-time, complex, 24/7 communications or command and control systems.
- Skills: At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in software maintenance, basic system administration, and computer analysis skills.
- Language: Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken. Knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
- Relocation: Eligible to work in the EU and willing to relocate to Darmstadt, Germany.
