About the Role

CS GROUP is seeking a highly skilled Dissemination Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dissemination systems, including scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain tools and scripts to support dissemination operations
  • Monitor and troubleshoot dissemination and encryption functions within the ground segment
  • Investigate and resolve anomalies in dissemination operations
  • Provide support to critical and special operations
  • Contribute to the design and development of dissemination operations related documentation
  • Acquire and maintain an operational view of dissemination and encryption functions
  • Support the analysis and resolution of user enquiries related to dissemination services

Requirements

  • University degree in a related field, such as space or spacecraft engineering
  • 3 years' experience in system administration, configuration, installation, and shell scripting for Linux and Windows
  • Familiarity with satellite system ground segment operations
  • Experience in major Linux distributions and Windows (Windows 10 or later)
  • Computer analysis skills, including analysis of events and logs
  • Familiarity with configuration control
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Able to work under pressure and with a minimum of supervision
  • Experience in providing near real-time data services in a high-availability environment
  • Experience in interacting with external partners and coordinating system changes
  • Experience in data integration using various file transfer protocols
  • Experience in supporting end-users in application software upgrades and configuration changes
  • Excellent document writing skills
  • Familiarity with DVB satellite communications and IP multicast over DVB and WANs
