IT Infrastructure Services Specialist

Overview of the Position

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of IT infrastructure systems and networking environments across multiple locations, including both On-Premises and Cloud infrastructures that support business functions. You will collaborate with internal teams, service providers, and external partners to ensure smooth operations while also introducing innovative projects and technologies aimed at delivering effective, efficient, and cost-effective services.

As a Digital Infrastructure Services Engineer, your contributions will enhance operational efficiency through the establishment of standards and the rollout of new infrastructure initiatives across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and sustain Systems Infrastructure, addressing operational needs across various domains such as physical and hyper-converged platforms, cloud-based solutions, and the associated operating systems.
  • Manage and support Network Infrastructure, focusing on operational requirements related to TCP/IP Networking across WAN and LAN.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and development initiatives to achieve and maintain global standards.
  • Assist in the planning, support, and execution of site recovery in Business Continuity Planning scenarios, in collaboration with other teams.
  • Lead project management efforts on selected initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of an internal knowledge base repository.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Several years of experience in a second or third line role within complex IT environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to facilitate troubleshooting across a diverse range of supported systems.
  • Proficient communication skills in both English and German (written, oral, and presentation).
  • Excellent organizational abilities to effectively manage and prioritize a busy workload.
