Position Overview
The Digital Infrastructure Services Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing a variety of IT infrastructure systems and networking environments across multiple locations. This includes both On-Premises and Cloud infrastructures that are essential for supporting business functions. In this capacity, you will collaborate with internal teams, service providers, and external partners to ensure smooth operations while also integrating new projects and technologies aimed at delivering efficient and cost-effective services.
As a Digital Infrastructure Services Engineer, you will also contribute to operational enhancements through the establishment of standards and the rollout of innovative infrastructure initiatives throughout the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain systems infrastructure, addressing operational needs across various platforms, including physical, hyper-converged, and cloud-based systems, along with their underlying operating systems and associated functionalities.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, focusing on operational requirements for TCP/IP networking across WAN and LAN environments.
- Engage in continuous improvement and development efforts to meet and realize global standards.
- Assist in the formulation, support, and execution of site recovery plans in business continuity scenarios, collaborating with other teams.
- Lead project management efforts for selected initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of an internal knowledge base repository.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Several years of experience in a second or third line role within complex IT environments.
- Strong analytical skills to facilitate troubleshooting across a diverse range of supported systems.
- Proficient communication skills in both English and German, encompassing written, oral, and presentation abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage and prioritize a busy workload.
