Senior Treasury Accountant

The Treasury accounting division plays a pivotal role in managing and documenting all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset management. This team addresses various ongoing accounting and reporting challenges within our ERP systems, such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics, in collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders. Additionally, we facilitate month-end closing activities, financial reporting, and support for upcoming audits.
Key Responsibilities
As a Treasury Accountant (m/f/d), you will oversee all accounting functions within the ABOUT YOU Group. Your role will be highly process-oriented, focusing on identifying and implementing optimization opportunities. You will also have the chance to engage in various Treasury functions and advance your professional development.
- Manage the processing of bank statements
- Ensure thorough account reconciliation and balancing of open positions, addressing discrepancies as necessary
- Handle guarantees, intra-group loans, and loans to related parties
- Prepare weekly payment runs
- Oversee the month-end closing process
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS by providing necessary documentation and insights
- Guarantee the accurate accounting treatment of executed foreign exchange hedges
- Be responsible for AWV reporting to Deutsche Bundesbank
- Play a crucial role in the implementation of a new ERP system
- Maintain constant communication with internal teams, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and ensure the quality of all accounting functions
- Act as the primary contact for our stakeholders
Qualifications
- Completed training as an Accountant or a comparable university degree
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the accounting field, preferably within Treasury
- Proficient knowledge of SAP 4 Hana and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Software
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using Microsoft tools such as Excel and Power BI
- Experience in ERP system implementation is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (essential) and German (preferred)
