Job Overview

As a Lead Compliance Verification Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our aviation products meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. Your expertise will guide our certification efforts and align our internal and external compliance verification activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a comprehensive certification strategy within the Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) community, addressing both internal and external compliance verification for composite structures and related areas.
  • Conduct independent assessments to verify that the Type Design adheres to the relevant certification criteria, environmental standards, and operational suitability requirements, particularly concerning structural integrity.
  • Oversee the configuration of test articles and setups to ensure they are compliant prior to testing phases.
  • Facilitate product safety measures and assist in certification processes with relevant authorities, including EASA and other validating bodies.
Additional Duties
  • Coordinate and manage the activities of other designated CVEs.
  • Review and verify comprehensive documents at the aircraft level, ensuring that all cross-functional aspects are thoroughly addressed.
Qualifications
  • Strong technical background (e.g., Dipl.-Ing., M.Sc., B.Sc., Technician, certified master craftsman, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in the aviation sector, ideally across various disciplines and at the aircraft integration level, with a focus on design engineering or compliance verification.
  • Familiarity with aviation procedures, particularly those related to design organizations under EASA Part 21.
  • Understanding of certification requirements for type certification, typical certification programs, and associated processes.
  • Experience in interpreting relevant Certification Specifications.
  • Proficient in generating and verifying compliance documentation.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of aircraft structures and related domains.
  • Comprehensive understanding of composite construction methods, metal, and material qualification.
