Since our inaugural crewed flight of a fully electric multicopter in 2011, we have successfully completed over 2,000 public and private test flights globally.
Role Overview
Establish a comprehensive certification strategy and ensure alignment within the Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) community, addressing both internal and external CVEs for composite structures and related areas. Conduct independent assessments of the Type Design's compliance with relevant certification standards, environmental regulations, and operational suitability criteria for all structural and associated topics. Perform independent evaluations of test article configurations and setups prior to testing to ensure compliance demonstration. Uphold product safety and facilitate certification processes with the relevant authorities (EASA and validating entities).Additionally:
Oversee and coordinate the activities of other designated CVEs. Review and verify documents at the aircraft level that require input from multiple CVE disciplines to ensure comprehensive coverage of cross-functional aspects.Required Qualifications
Strong technical background (Dipl.-Ing., Technician, certified master craftsman, or equivalent). At least 6 years of experience in the aviation sector, preferably across various disciplines and at the aircraft integration level as a Design Engineer or CVE, with involvement in the design process of aviation products, equipment, or components. Familiarity with aviation procedures, particularly those applicable to design organizations according to EASA Part 21. Understanding of certification requirements relevant to type certification, typical certification programs, and associated processes. Experience in interpreting applicable Certification Specifications. Proven track record in generating and verifying compliance documentation. In-depth technical knowledge of aircraft structures and related subjects. Comprehensive understanding of composite construction methods, metal, and material qualification.Additional Insights
