Pharmaceutical Product Manager

Position: Product Manager

Objective

To oversee a designated product portfolio within a specific market sector, ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators, product profitability, and effective management of working capital through the execution of the Business Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute business strategies to safeguard the long-term interests of the organization.
  • Establish pricing strategies for Sales Managers and Internal Sales Representatives.
  • Enhance procurement costs through negotiations with suppliers.
  • Assess and comprehend the strategies of suppliers within your portfolio to develop a comprehensive marketing plan (market/product – client/market – client/product segments).
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with suppliers to maintain existing partnerships and secure new opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to commercial teams by synthesizing information from suppliers for dissemination.
  • Prepare compelling arguments for product commercialization to enhance the effectiveness of the sales force and generate additional projects.
  • For suppliers not governed by group contracts, negotiate and finalize agreements to ensure a stable supply chain.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to market and competitor dynamics to ensure product strategies align with current market conditions.
  • Track supplier performance and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Responsible for reporting to suppliers.

Qualifications, Skills & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales or commercial roles.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Effective negotiation capabilities.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Financial and commercial acumen.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Business Manager or Managing Director.

Stakeholders

  • Internal: Sales Managers, Business & Commercial Manager, Back office team, GPMs, MSDs.
  • External: Relevant Suppliers.
