Position Overview

  • We are on the lookout for enthusiastic Data Analytics or Data Science experts to join our dynamic team as Data Analytics Mentors.
  • This part-time position is more than just a job; it is a chance to influence the careers and lives of aspiring data professionals. As a mentor, you will be instrumental in supporting our students throughout their educational experience.
  • Your responsibilities will include providing expert advice, assistance, and individualized mentorship to students enrolled in our Data Analytics program, addressing both their technical and emotional requirements.
  • You will guide students through their educational paths and the job search process, ultimately aiming to help them secure their first position in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentorship: Engage in personalized mentorship, offering one-on-one guidance, support, and professional insights to a dedicated group of students. This includes clarifying course concepts, providing constructive feedback on assignments, ensuring students stay on track with their objectives, and offering encouragement throughout their learning journey.
  • Instructional Delivery: Conduct engaging, high-quality live sessions focused on essential data analytics topics and vital career skills.
  • Community Engagement: Create a vibrant, supportive, and interactive learning atmosphere that promotes student involvement and success.
  • Continuous Development: Actively seek and integrate feedback to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in roles such as Data Analyst or Data Scientist.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Spreadsheet applications.
  • Analytical Skills: Experienced in Data Wrangling, Exploratory Data Analysis, Probability, Descriptive Statistics, and Inferential Statistics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine desire to teach, assist students in problem-solving, and help others achieve their professional aspirations.

Preferred:

  • 1+ year of managerial experience.
  • Previous teaching experience as a Data Analytics Instructor (Bootcamp or University).
  • Experience in hiring junior Data Analytics positions.
  • Familiarity with advanced topics such as Machine Learning, Time Series Analysis, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning, Image Processing, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Big Data management with PySpark.
  • Experience with version control using GIT and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
