Role Overview:

The primary objective of this position is to assist the Category/Business Manager in managing vendor operations effectively, ensuring top-notch data accuracy, optimal system utilization, and comprehensive reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate comprehensive product and vendor lifecycle management, ensuring system precision and product integration.
  • Collaborate with the profit team to support vendor pricing strategies, focusing on exception and corrective management.
  • Oversee the ship and debit processes in coordination with the central team.
  • Work alongside the purchasing team to manage provisions and stock distribution.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence to generate sales and inventory reports, devising actionable plans based on insights.
  • Meet quarterly Gross Profit (GP) targets in both absolute and percentage terms.
  • Maintain operational relationships with vendor counterparts to discuss upcoming products, forecasting, and planning.
  • Contribute to the execution of the business plan in collaboration with vendor business leads.
  • Assist the sales team with pricing, ship and debit inquiries, and general product-related questions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Strong numerical proficiency.
  • Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Customer-centric approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Robust analytical capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with product and technology portfolios.
  • Understanding of the IT industry, including channels, vendors, programs, and competition is advantageous.
  • Experience with SAP R3 and Business Warehouse, as well as Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), is preferred.
  • Previous commercial or product experience in a technology environment is desirable.
  • A degree in a business-related field is advantageous.
  • Experience in distribution or vendor management is a plus.
