Lead Consultant in Banking Compliance

As part of our Financial Services – Regulatory & Compliance team, you will provide guidance and assessments to our clients in the financial sector regarding regulatory and supervisory matters, as well as process transformations in corporate governance.
Your Responsibilities
If you are eager to leverage your expertise in the Regulatory & Compliance team to advise and assess our clients while gaining extensive insights into banking regulations, here’s how you can contribute:
- Consultation: You will advise national and international banks and financial service providers as part of our interdisciplinary team on various projects, such as implementing new regulatory requirements, mitigating liquidity risks, or identifying and disclosing ESG risks.
- Assessment: You will evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements by banks and financial service providers during annual audits or special examinations commissioned by regulatory authorities, thereby contributing to the stability of the financial sector.
- Hands-On Engagement: You will take responsibility for projects aimed at strategically optimizing regulatory key figures in corporate governance.
- Innovation: To enhance efficiency for our clients, you will develop innovative solutions for the digitalization and automation of regulatory processes for banks, insurance companies, or FinTechs.
- Completed Degree in Business Administration, Law, (Business) Informatics, or a related field – possibly in conjunction with banking training or as a career changer from other disciplines.
- Initial Professional Experience in banking supervisory law and regulation, ideally with knowledge of national and European regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS, CRR, KWG, MaRisk, FINREP, COREP, Basel III, Basel IV, etc.).
- Enthusiasm for Current Technology Trends, enjoyment in analyzing complex interrelations, and possibly initial experience with standard software in reporting (e.g., ABACUS, BAIS).
- Excellent Communication Skills in German and English, along with a willingness to travel and a strong team spirit.
