Professor in Intercultural Communication and Business English

Fachhochschule Südwestfalen is seeking a highly qualified Professor in Intercultural Communication and Business English to join our team at the Center for Business Education. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic experience of our students.
Responsibilities- Teach and develop curriculum for Business English, Intercultural Communication, and related fields in our bachelor's and master's degree programs.
- Contribute to the development of research in Business English communication and professional experience.
- Support students in their preparation for studying abroad and international work experience.
- Establish and maintain international contacts and partnerships.
- Participate in interdisciplinary research areas and academic self-administration.
- Develop and teach on-campus and online courses, including Saturday courses.
- Scientifically sound and practice-oriented approach to teaching and research.
- Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as economics, international business, communication sciences, or linguistics.
- Relevant experience in teaching Business English in higher education, curriculum development, and teaching material creation.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years outside academia.
- Excellent didactic skills, including eLearning and modern teaching concepts.
- Demonstrated English language proficiency at a native level.
- German language skills at a native level.
- A diverse and international student body and a collaborative team of lecturers.
- Independent structuring of teaching and research.
- A family-like work atmosphere in a modern environment.
- Strong links to enterprises in the economic region of South Westphalia.
- Compatibility of work, family, and private life.
