AS A REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, YOUR ROLE INCLUDES:

You will take charge of formulating and executing a sales strategy aimed at meeting established objectives within your designated region, encompassing Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe. As the Regional Sales Manager, you will possess a holistic understanding of your market, enabling you to deploy our technological solutions effectively while analyzing the competitive environment. You will identify new business development prospects and cultivate relationships with potential partners. Your role will involve establishing effective communication channels with various stakeholders, including direct clients and partners, leveraging your professional network.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Surpass annual capture/order targets for the assigned region.

• Develop and implement both short- and long-term strategies to boost orders in your territory, aligned with corporate objectives.

• Collaborate closely with Program Managers to advance Project and/or Program Sales as necessary.

• Optimize distribution channels, including the engagement of strategic partners.

• Stay informed about technological trends and their business implications and opportunities.

• Understand market dynamics, including the competitive landscape, to:
- provide valuable product feedback to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams.
- identify promising target markets/applications.
- devise and execute strategies to penetrate existing and new markets.

• Achieve results by effectively managing key partnerships and allocated resources.

• Key Account Management: strengthen existing relationships with major clients and establish new connections with other key customers (either directly or through your team).

• Ensure prompt and accurate responses to customer inquiries, leads, and sales opportunities.

• Conduct reporting and order forecasting as required for the role, utilizing SFDC according to established protocols.

• Travel to meet clients, channel partners, and attend industry events (up to 25%-50% travel).

Required Qualifications

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL YOU BRING?

• A proven history of exceeding sales targets in the Defense electronics sector within Germany.

• Technical sales expertise or a relevant technical degree.

• Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense electronics products and systems.

• Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with clients and partners.

• A collaborative team player with exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

• Self-motivated, confident, dedicated, and enthusiastic.

• Capacity to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Proficiency in connecting with team members across various locations.

• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and CRM tools.

• A MOD Security clearance or eligibility for such clearance is advantageous.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO SAFRAN?

• At least 5 years of sales experience with relevant electronic products in Aerospace and Defense sectors.

• Relevant experience with Position, Navigation, Timing, and/or Simulation products, or alternatively in the C4ISR, EW, or Sensor domains. Experience with technical products sold to B2B or Government, Aerospace, and Defense sectors.

• Experience managing a field sales channel, both direct and through representatives or distributors.

• Strong technical sales capabilities and a working knowledge of the Aerospace & Defense market.

Job Specifics

WHERE YOU WILL BE LOCATED:

This position is based in Germany, ideally in a major city, and requires the ability to obtain security clearance.
