AS A REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, YOUR ROLE INCLUDES:

You will define and execute a sales strategy aimed at achieving objectives within your designated territory, which encompasses Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe. As the Regional Sales Manager, you will have a holistic understanding of your market, allowing you to deploy our technological solutions effectively while being aware of the competitive environment. You will identify new opportunities for market expansion and build relationships with prospective partners. Your role involves establishing effective communication with various stakeholders, including direct clients and partners, utilizing your professional network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Surpass annual capture and order targets for the region.

• Formulate and implement both short- and long-term strategies to boost orders in alignment with company objectives.

• Collaborate closely with Program Managers to develop Project and/or Program Sales as necessary.

• Optimize distribution channels, including strategic partnerships.

• Stay informed about technology trends and their business implications.

• Understand market dynamics, including competitive analysis, to:
- Provide product feedback to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering.
- Identify promising target markets and applications.
- Develop and execute strategies to penetrate existing and new markets.

• Achieve results by effectively managing key partnerships and allocated resources.

• Manage key accounts, enhancing relationships with major clients and establishing new connections with other significant customers (either directly or through your team).

• Ensure prompt and accurate responses to customer inquiries, leads, and sales opportunities.

• Conduct reporting and order forecasting as required, utilizing SFDC according to established protocols.

• Travel to meet customers, channel partners, and attend industry events (up to 25%-50% travel required).

Job Requirements

WHAT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL?

• A demonstrated history of exceeding sales targets in the Defense electronics sector within Germany.

• Technical sales expertise or a relevant technical qualification.

• Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense electronics products and systems.

• Strong interpersonal skills for developing relationships with clients and partners.

• A collaborative team player with outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

• Self-motivated, confident, dedicated, and enthusiastic.

• Capacity to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Proficiency in using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and CRM tools.

• A MOD Security clearance or eligibility for such clearance is advantageous.

WHAT WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE TO SAFRAN?

• At least 5 years of sales experience with relevant electronic products in Aerospace and Defense settings.

• Relevant experience with Position, Navigation, Timing, and/or Simulation products, or alternatively in the C4ISR, EW, or Sensor domains. Experience with technical products sold to B2B or Government, Aerospace, and Defense sectors is preferred.

• Experience managing a field sales channel, both direct and through representatives or distributors.

• Strong technical sales capabilities and a working knowledge of the Aerospace & Defense market.

Job Specifics

WHERE WILL YOU BE LOCATED?

This position is based in Germany (preferably in Munich, Köln, or Hamburg) and requires the ability to obtain security clearance.
