Retail Allocation Manager

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The role focuses on optimizing in-season allocation and trading across our retail channels. The individual will play a crucial part in executing initial allocations and managing in-season replenishments, ensuring a swift response to the dynamic market landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop trading and allocation plans to ensure that retail locations are adequately supplied, adhering to the Channel Ranges established by the Market CTC Assortment Plan teams, while delivering optimal initial volumes to meet sales objectives.
  • Conduct weekly KPI assessments to facilitate timely in-season stock replenishment based on store performance metrics.
  • Cultivate and maintain essential relationships with local retail teams to enhance business outcomes and proactively drive efficiency through key performance indicators.
  • Analyze product performance at the store level and share insights and recommendations with the team.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives for all allocation and trading systems and tools.
  • Effectively manage stock flow to ensure product relevance in regular stores, achieve adequate stock clearance, and optimize margins.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge, including company policies and procedures.
  • Relevant experience in an Allocation & Trading role, with thorough training in the associated processes and systems.
  • Proactive approach with an end-to-end thinking capability.
  • Strong analytical and planning competencies.
  • Proficient in problem identification, data collection, fact establishment, and conclusion drawing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, especially under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, particularly when engaging with various business levels.
  • Familiarity with SAP Retail is advantageous.

Requisite Education and Experience/ Minimal Education:

  • A university degree in business, preferably with a focus on marketing and sales, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
