Avionics Systems Specialist

Your role in this innovative journey:
As an Avionics Systems Specialist, you will leverage your extensive expertise in certifying aircraft systems, contributing significantly to the evolution of eVTOL aviation. Your familiarity with requirements management, system architecture, and problem resolution processes will be essential in this role. You will collaborate closely with certification authorities, ensuring that all system development, integration, and verification tasks are executed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Your contributions will be pivotal in redefining how pilots interact with eVTOL aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the requirements for systems, subsystems, and components within the Avionics sector.
- Validate requirements and assist in verification activities to ensure compliance.
- Address and manage problem reports and change requests for assigned systems.
- Prepare and conduct design reviews (PDR, CDR, etc.) both internally and with external suppliers.
- Support development assurance activities, including system audits to demonstrate compliance with ARP 4754A.
- Assist in generating compliance documentation for certification, including test plans and analysis reports.
- Engage in communication with certification authorities to facilitate approvals.
- Support integration activities for newly developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment.
- Review and approve test procedures and reports related to Avionics integration testing.
- Ensure thorough verification of problem reports using various testing methods.
Essential Skills:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft avionics system design, with a solid background in aircraft certification.
- Experience working within an EASA-approved Design Organization.
- In-depth knowledge of avionics functions and technologies, including communication, navigation, and data recording.
- Proven experience in requirements engineering using tools such as Integrity or DOORS.
- Experience collaborating with suppliers for specification-based development and COTS integration.
- Comprehensive understanding of ARP4754A and DO-160 standards.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with software and airborne electronic hardware standards, including DO-178 and DO-254.
- Expertise in CS-ACNS and SC-VTOL.
- Knowledge of ARP4761.
- Understanding of Human Factors standards.
