Since our inception, we have successfully completed numerous test flights, marking significant milestones in the eVTOL industry.

Role Overview

Your mission in this innovative journey:

As an Avionics Systems Specialist, you will leverage your extensive experience in certifying aircraft systems to contribute to the advancement of eVTOL technology. You will be adept in requirements management, system architecture, and the processes for reporting changes and issues. Your expertise in planning and producing certification documentation will be essential as you collaborate with regulatory bodies. Within a dynamic and skilled team, you will ensure that system development, integration, and validation tasks are executed efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational capabilities of eVTOL aircraft.

  • Managing requirements at the system, subsystem, and component levels within the Avionics sector
  • Validating requirements and supporting verification activities
  • Addressing issue reports and overseeing change requests for the designated systems
  • Preparing and conducting design reviews (PDR, CDR, etc.) with internal teams and suppliers
  • Assisting in development assurance activities, including system audits for compliance with ARP 4754A
  • Generating compliance documentation for certification, including test plans and analysis reports
  • Engaging in communication with certification authorities
  • Facilitating integration activities for newly developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment
  • Reviewing and approving test procedures and reports related to Avionics integration
  • Ensuring thorough verification of issue reports through various testing methods

Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Advanced degree (MSc, PhD) in engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft (avionics) system design with a strong background in aircraft certification (CS-23, CS-25, CS-27, CS-29)
  • Experience in an EASA-approved Design Organization (Part21J)
  • Proficiency in Avionics functions and technologies, including communication, navigation, and data recording
  • Proven experience in requirements engineering using tools such as Integrity or DOORS
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers for specification-based development and COTS integration
  • In-depth knowledge of ARP4754A and DO-160 standards
  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken)

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with software and airborne electronic hardware standards DO-178 and DO-254
  • Expertise in CS-ACNS and SC-VTOL
  • Knowledge of ARP4761 standards
  • Understanding of Human Factors standards
