Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager for Product Variant and Configuration Management (f/m/d) to join our Configuration & Change Management (C&CM) department at our Ulm location. This division plays a crucial role in ensuring that configuration management processes are effectively applied throughout the project lifecycle, adhering to contractual obligations while achieving project and product goals within defined performance, time, and cost parameters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and specify configuration management interfaces, both internal and external.
  • Develop configuration management plans in both German and English.
  • Create product structures by identifying configuration units and mapping them in the configuration management tools.
  • Ensure adherence to the configuration management process.
  • Facilitate the implementation of release boards.
  • Establish baselines and document construction status specifications.
  • Manage internal and external change management processes.
  • Prepare evaluations and status presentations.
  • Collaborate with international project teams, both internally and externally.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and customers.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management and configuration management, familiar with relevant standards (ISO 10007, EIA-649).
  • Experience in software configuration management and production processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and Serena Business Manager/Dimensions is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to implement and communicate configuration management specifications.
  • Ability to present effectively to international clients and partners.
  • Team-oriented with strong negotiation skills and the ability to assert oneself when necessary.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English.
