Domain Project Lead Infotainment-Basesystem

At the BMW Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our software development team for infotainment systems. As a Domain Project Lead, you will be responsible for driving the development of our SW-platform for Infotainment Control Units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead software development teams through sub-organizations and ensure timely delivery of BMW software-platforms for the next infotainment system.
  • Collaborate with the software management team to set targets, milestones, and time schedules.
  • Drive planning and tracking of backlog items with strong personal engagement.
  • Review and approve software deliveries according to requirement fulfillment and milestones.
  • Enable and guide multiple domain-leads to deliver sub-domain-features & components according to all requirements.
  • Manage changes in requirements and priorities.
  • Report progress against set priorities and objectives to the head unit project management.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in program, technology, or software project management.
  • Proven experience in introducing agile practices in software organizations and planning, organizing, and executing through others.
  • Strong experience in leading large, distributed software development teams.
  • Experience with different software domains on Linux systems, preferably in context of embedded devices.
  • Experience in delivering products that include open source components is beneficial.
  • Willingness to make hard decisions about software development scope and priorities.
