Lead Engineer (f/m/d)

At Digital Realty, we're looking for a skilled Lead Engineer to join our team in Frankfurt. As a critical member of our Data Center Operations team, you'll be responsible for the technical management of our critical infrastructure in the Data Centers.

Your Role

As a Lead Engineer, you'll oversee the preparation and management of preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring the availability of critical infrastructure within your responsibility area. You'll work closely with our on-site team of technicians and external suppliers to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical management of critical infrastructure in Data Centers
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance planning and execution
  • Collaboration with on-site technicians and external suppliers
  • Ensuring infrastructure availability and redundancy
  • Energy usage and health & safety focus
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Completed professional qualification as Electrical engineer, equipment technician, or mechanical engineer
  • Official switching authorization for Low, Medium, High Voltage systems (preferable)
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in electro technical or industrial/mechanical environments
  • Expertise in large-scale electrotechnical systems, mechanical/cooling/climate control systems, and building technology operations
  • Proficient in technical maintenance and installations processes
  • Fluent in German and English
