About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Senior Circus Arts Manager to lead our artistic team and drive the development of new productions and shows on board our Mein Schiff fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the artistic team and oversee the creation of new acts and shows, working closely with the technical team to ensure seamless execution.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to team members, including onboarding, development, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with freelancers, including briefing and supervision.
  • Oversee circus equipment and inventory, ensuring safety and security protocols are in place.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage casting and talent acquisition, including rehearsals and cast changes.
  • Ensure effective communication between land and sea teams, and collaborate with external partners.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in circus arts, with expertise in training, performance, and production management.
  • Strong knowledge of circus arts techniques, including training, creation, and management.
  • Excellent leadership and strategic planning skills, with experience in developing and implementing departmental goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
  • Flexibility to work on board and occasional travel to Hamburg.
