Software Engineer for API Solutions

Are you ready to join the IT Life & Health Product Teams at Hannover Re? We have an exciting opportunity for you to become an API Development Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance centralized API management systems
  • Assist in the implementation and oversight of our interface architecture
  • Utilize your knowledge of API standard protocols and industry best practices
  • Maintain and improve the enterprise API portal
  • Plan and execute modifications to interfaces within our system architecture
  • Create technical concepts and designs
  • Conduct module testing and quality assurance
  • Manage change requests, including effort estimation
  • Participate in 2nd-level support for incident analysis and troubleshooting

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software development, architecture, API management, and application integration
  • Familiarity with application integration tools such as Boomi or similar
  • Experience with Enterprise Java, JMS, and Web services is a plus
  • Degree in computer science, business IT, or a related field, or equivalent training
  • Proficient in both German and English
  • Ability to work independently, reliably, and in a structured manner
