Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled API Software Engineer to join our team at Hannover Re. As an API Software Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing and further refining central API management, supporting the implementation and management of our interface landscape, and applying your knowledge of API standard protocols and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain API standards and protocols
  • Support the development and implementation of API-based solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement API integrations
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for API solutions
  • Identify and address API security vulnerabilities
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • Professional experience with software development and architecture
  • Expertise in application integration using Boomi or a comparable tool suite
  • Initial experience in the field of Enterprise Java, JMS, and Web services
  • Degree in computer science or a related field
  • Strong understanding of API design principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
